Julie
Founder
Julie was the founder of The Vine Hair Salon, a business she built after more than 42 years of experience in Racine-area salons, including Miss Julie’s, George’s, The Autumn Leaf, and Partner’s In Design. With decades of skill, dedication, and trusted relationships behind her, Julie decided it was time to create a salon of her own—one rooted in warmth, artistry, and community.
The Vine was lovingly named after a moment of family inspiration: Julie’s granddaughter, Olivia, noticed the vines that climbed the front of the building. Julie embraced the idea and wove family into the heart of her new venture, incorporating her granddaughters into the salon’s creative beginnings. What started as a dream became a true labor of love.
Julie was instrumental to the salon’s success, guiding its growth through her expertise, leadership, and genuine connection with clients. She oversaw day-to-day operations until her passing in 2023. Today, her legacy lives on through the loyal clients who remain the lifeblood of The Vine and the talented stylists who continue the standard of care she set.
The ownership of the salon now rests with Julie’s family, who carry it on in honor of her legacy.

HI, I’m Jenny. I have over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. I love doing colors, highlights and working with long hair. I enjoy getting to know my clients and look forward to catching up on life at their appointments. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. I also enjoy gardening, crafting and sitting by the pool in the Summer!

I have been a Stylist for over 43 years. I’m experienced in haircutting for men, women and happy children. I’m well versed in hair coloring, highlighting with either the old cap technique or basic foiling. I’m skilled in permanent waving as I began doing hair in the 1980s when everyone wanted a perm to support their big hair, including many men who were wearing the mullet style during that time.

I’m Elizabeth, a hair stylist, color specialist, and make-up artist with over 14 years of experience. As a Stylist at the Vine Hair Salon, I’m passionate about helping clients feel confident and beautiful. I specialize in personalized color and styling, creating looks that enhance each person’s unique style while providing a welcoming, elevated Salon experience. I’m also a proud mother of three, two little girls and a boy. I’ve been part of the Racine community for over 20 years. When I’m not behind the chair, I love spending time with my children visiting museums, taking them to gymnastics or enjoying time together at the park.

Hi, I’m Amanda, I have been doing hair for 19 years, I love doing cuts and colors, highlights, balayage, grey blending and fashion colors. I love and specialize in Pixie hairstyles, I love and enjoy coming to work everyday to help people feel beautiful, and refreshed. In my time away from work I enjoy painting, hiking and photography, any chance I have to get outside I always try to take it.

I have been in the hair industry for 14 years. I believe that being a Stylist is a multifaceted art. Not only are you making people beautiful, there is a science behind the magic, and your clients become part of your family. My specialty is lightening and color correction. My favorite part of the process is color theory and the inner to outer transformation after the magic is done. Beauty starts within then expressed outward!

Today, I help clients look and feel their best through healthy hair, natural color, and personalized style. As a passionate advocate for hair growth and embracing your natural beauty, I may even encourage you to get back to your roots! Self made, “The Wardrober,” I go beyond the chair, helping clients discover their ideal colors, fit, and personal style. At The Vine, my mission is to create an experience that inspires confidence, self-discovery, and authentic beauty-from head to toe.

I’m Lynn, the receptionist at the Vine Hair Salon. I enjoy assisting clients with scheduling their appointments. It is my goal to make sure each client feels welcome and that their time spent at the Vine is relaxing and enjoyable. I spend my free time antiquing, hiking, reading, gardening and spending time with my family.

I’ve been a hairstylist for 54 years. My services include hair coloring and hair cutting for women and men. I also provide perming and waxing services. In my spare time I enjoy being with my grandsons and gardening.
